  • i used to think that kids are annoying and a burden, i thought i would be the mom that leaves her babies with family so she can party, i thought i would surrender responsibility at every opportunity. what i didn't count on was motherhood changing me. it taught me to wait, it taught me empathy; it taught me to be kind to myself and everybody. motherhood is humbling and made me a better person, even a tiger is tamed by her children 💖 ⁣ how has motherhood changed you? happy mother's day
  • i hated being pregnant. i didn't take many photos and whatever photos i took were taken out of fear, because i would have nothing to show for otherwise. ⁣ when i found out i was pregnant, i was crushed because i thought pregnancy took years or months of trying. i thought i would have at least a year of married life and achieve my dreams of becoming a muay thai fighter before i became a mama but life has a way of surprising you. ⁣ ⁣ when i found out i was pregnant with twins, it turned into a novelty. i became excited at the idea of being a twin mom (who else restarted their sims over and over to get multiple babies? 😂) and started looking forward to meeting them. ⁣ ⁣ when I had them, i fell in love with them and it was an immense relief not to be pregnant anymore. some people bask in their pregnancies but I was not one of them. i felt sick, ugly and most of all, excluded. my friends and family treated me like i was a pariah and i hated it. i hated every moment of being coddled and told i shouldn't exercise, eat certain foods or do certain things due to superstitions. i was angry at my pregnancy for taking away my life and taking away from me but i learned that it's okay if you hated your pregnancy, it doesn't mean you love your child any less.
